I’m Barbara Grzes, a Paris-based freelance designer and illustrator working with beauty and lifestyle brands.
My work sits at the intersection of brand identity, packaging, UX design, and illustration. I combine a strong technical background with an intuitive, visual approach - translating complex ideas into work that feels clear, expressive, and culturally relevant.
I studied computer science and fashion design at Central Saint Martins in London, which allows me to move comfortably between strategy, systems, and visual experimentation. I’m as at ease designing structured digital experiences as I am creating bold, hand-drawn or illustrative visuals.
Based in Paris, with long stays in Berlin, New York, London, and Dakar, my practice is deeply intercultural. I work fluently in English, French, Polish, and German, and bring a nuanced understanding of audiences, context, and visual codes to every project.
Alongside design, I’m also a dancer rooted in hip-hop and street culture, which strongly informs how I think about visuals - as rhythm, presence, movement, and energy. This perspective shapes work that feels alive rather than purely decorative.
My portfolio spans brand identity, packaging design, UX, print, illustration, and merchandise, including collaborations with established brands such as Nike (Nike By You).
Clients value my ability to combine technical precision with creative depth, and to deliver work that is thoughtful, versatile, and unmistakably authentic.
